Marilyn K. Thomas, 66
CENTERBURG, Ohio – Marilyn K. Thomas, age 66, of Centerburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at her home. She was born on March 25, 1948, in East Liverpool to the late John and Anna (McChancey) Provost. Marilyn worked at Interfaith Counseling Clinic and most recently with The Ohio State University. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Centerburg. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be forever remembered for her strong will and determination to overcome the adversities placed in front of her.
She is survived by her husband Robert Thomas, whom she married on Nov. 20, 1986; her children, Laura (Hamish) Cooper Baird of Columbus and Brian Cooper of Columbus; three grandchildren, Catherine Sophia Baird, Devon Baird and Braden Baird; two brothers, Robert (Rita) Provost of Sacramento, Calif., David (Racquel) Provost of Darbydale; and two sisters, Kathy (Bert) Doddroe of Orient and Vicky Logan of Norfolk, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 182 W. Houck St., Centerburg, Ohio 43011. Pastor Christine Widrig will be officiating. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Marilyn K. Thomas.
Memorial contributions in Marilyn’s name may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or Grace Lutheran Church.
