Joseph E. Schon, 60

INDUSTRY, Pa. -Joseph E. Schon, 60 who was born and raised in Chester and lived in Industry the past several years, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the Emergency Room of Heritage Valley Beaver after becoming suddenly ill.

He was a son of Blaine and Elton Armstrong Schon of Chester and he was born here on July 31, 1953.

Joe was a boiler operator at the AES Power Plant in Monaca, and he was Catholic By faith, being raised in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester.

He was a 1971 graduate of Oak Glen High School and he was a member of the New Cumberland Masonic Lodge.

Joe leaves two sons, Robert Schon and wife Kelley and their two children, Gunner and Isaak Schon of Titusville, Pa., and son Jonathan Schon of Chester; his sisters, Linda Butto and husband Tony of New Manchester, Peggy Moore and husband Randy, and Edna Drane and husband Harry, both of Calcutta; and his brother, Dale Schon of Chester.

Services will be held on Thursday at noon at the Arner Funeral chapel in Chester with Father Eric Antwi of the Church presiding. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
