Gilbert “Gil” F. Jolly, 86
BEAVER – Gilbert “Gil” F. Jolly, 86 passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospice of Beaver following a brief illness.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1927 in East Liverpool, a son to the late Raymond T. and Hilda (Diamond) Jolly but had been raised by his grandfather, Tom “Buddy” Jolly. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force having served during WWII and worked as an inspector for Crucible Steel before retiring in 1982. Gilbert was a member and Elder of Longs Run Presbyterian Church and was an avid golfer.
He is survived at home by his wife Elenor (Russell) Jolly whom he married June 23, 1950; one son: James G. Jolly and his wife Virginia of Houston, Texas; one daughter: Susan Jolly Dyer and her husband Kent of Ramah, Colo. and a half brother Tom Jolly of Florida (formerly of Glenmoor) and two grandsons: David and Jeremiah.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Longs Run Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. Steven Cramer of the church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Longs Run Church Building Fund.
