Theodore D. Higgins, 69
EAST LIVERPOOL – Theodore D. Higgins, 69, passed away suddenly at his apartment on Moore Street on Friday, March 14, 2014.
A lifelong resident, he was born in East Liverpool to the late Harry R. and Garnet Cramer Higgins on Sept. 22, 1944.
A retired machinist, he also had worked at the former Crucible Steel in Midland.
He was a protestant by faith and a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
A proud veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War, he held memberships in the VFW Post 66, East Liverpool American Legion, Potters Club, East Liverpool Moose and Orioles.
Dalton Higgins, his grandson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Heather Higgins and her companion John Cramer of Wellsville; his grandsons, Triston Higgins and Brier Cramer; his brother, Richard Higgins and wife Louise of East Liverpool; and his sisters, Eva Jean Shinton and husband William of East Liverpool, and Patty Copitka and husband John of Rodgers.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Tuesday, March 18, at 1 p.m. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will give full military honors. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 a.m. until the time of the services. He will be buried at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
