Scott A. Thomas

HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Scott A. Thomas of Hanover Township died Monday, March 10, 2014, at the home of his brother in New Castle, Pa. He was born April 13, 1963, to the late Robert A. and Patricia Smith Thomas.

Surviving Mr. Thomas are his six children: Katelyn Thomas of Colorado, Lauren Thomas of Wisconsin, Nathan Thomas of Colorado, Joshua Thomas of Hanover Township, Lindsey Thomas of Hanover Township, and Garrett Thomas of Hanover Township; two step-children, Ashtyn Lonetti of Arizona, Clayton Lonetti of Guam; four brothers, Timothy (Elizabeth) Thomas of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Robert (Melissa) Thomas of New Castle, Pa., Christopher (Melissa) Thomas of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dennis (Kristy) Golixer of Edinburg, Pa.; seven nephews, James Thomas, Logan Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Addison Bausch, Matthew Thomas, Michael Thomas, and Abraham Thomas; and three nieces, Mimi Bausch, Reagan Golixer , and Samantha Thomas.

Scott was born in East Liverpool and spent much of his youth in Beaver County, Pa. He graduated from Southside High School in 1981. After an absence from the area, he returned to Western Pa. in 2000 to co-own and operate Pizzas by Marchelloni with his brothers. He was retired at the time of his death.

He loved the outdoors and was often found sharing his passion with his children, friends, and other family members. An accomplished hunter and fisherman, Mr. Thomas used his extensive knowledge of animals and their habits to keep children entertained for hours.

In keeping with Scott’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Calcutta United Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Pastor Dave Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park, Calcutta.
