Rosemary Volino, 89

LEETONIA – Rosemary Volino, 89 of Leetonia and formerly of Wellsville and Gulfport, Fla., passed away on Saturday evening, March 1, 2014, at Essex of Salem following a brief illness.

A daughter of the late George Yatta and Carmello Sabbato Yatta, she was born in Wellsville on April 27, 1924.

She served two years with the US Army during WW II. She retired from the former Sterling China in Wellsville, and she was a graduate of Wellsville High School.

Rosemary had moved to Gulfport, Fla., until four years ago when she moved to Leetonia to be cared for by her niece, Fran Ludovici Phillips and husband Gary.

Her husband Rocco Volino who died on Dec. 11, 2007, and who she shared 61 years of marriage with, preceded her in death along with her sister, Ann (Mrs. John) Ludovici, and her brother, Joe Panepinto.

She leaves one sister, Maryann (Mrs. Robert) Mayes of Chester, many nieces and nephews, along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In fulfilling Rosemary’s wishes, no services are planned and she will be buried with her beloved husband Rocco in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Wellsville.

Her care has been entrusted to the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
