LISBON-Ralph E. Burton, 77, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Hospice House.
Born Jan. 13, 1937 in Wellsville, he was a son of the late Harry V. and Clara I. (Amman) Burton.
He had worked as a machinist for many years at NRM Corp. and retired from Mahoning Valley Manufacturing.
A U.S. Navy Veteran and 1955 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, he was a member of St. Jacob United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his six children: Ralph Burton, Jr. of Lisbon, Peggy Altenhof of East Rochester, Judy Spencer of Lisbon, Bill Burton of Hanoverton, John Burton, and Maggie Burton both of Lisbon, 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren as well as his siblings: Betty Cline of East Liverpool, Harry Burton of Shelby Township, Mich., and Barbara Howard of Salem.
There will be a funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Weber Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
