Louise E. Dinch May, 87
CHESTER-Louise E. Dinch May, 87 of Chester passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
A longtime resident of Chester, Louise was born in Meadowlands, Pa.; on March 22, 1926 to the late Paul B. and Esther F. Fauvie Dinch.
A member of the Chester First Christian Church, she retired from the Homer Laughlin China Company in Newell where she had worked for 40 years, last working as a decorator.
Louise was a member of Homer Laughlin Retirement Club and she always assisted her husband Pete with his annual Army reunion.
Preceding her in death were five brothers, Ernest, Alfred, Paul, Lawerance, and David Dinch, and three sisters, Esther Grimm, Leona Denys, and Elizabeth Simms.
On July 5, 1956 Louise married the love of her life, Harry L. “Pete” May and he survives at home.
In addition there is one daughter, Pamela Jane of Chester, one sister, Dorothy Heiney of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one brother, James Dinch of Wellsville, two grandchildren, and several close nieces and nephews.
Rev. Dennis Arnold and Rev. Stacey Popejoy will celebrate Louise’s life on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends are invited to visit with family at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
