EAST LIVERPOOL – Lee Barnhart, 60 of East Liverpool, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 6, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 21, 1953 in Lancaster, Ohio a son to the late Harry Edson & Velma Iretha (McGrady) Barnhart.
Mr. Barnhart was a graduate of Canal Winchester High School and was a self-employed mechanic.
He is survived at home by his wife: Beverly Jean (Price) Barnhart; two sons: Lee Roy Barnhart Jr., of Thornville, Ohio and Robert Barnhart of Orient, Ohio; four daughters: Laura Carruthers Huston of Newark, Ohio; Alexis Barnhart of California, Rebecca Barnhart of Lancaster, Ohio and Christina Chesser of Westerville, Ohio; two step-sons: Charles Bender of Greenfield, Ohio and Lester Willison of Calcutta, Ohio; a step-daughter: Sherry Willison of Chillicothe, Ohio; a sister: Ina Lee Barnhart Snyder of Canal Winchester, Ohio; twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Per Mr. Barnhart’s wishes, no services or visitation is planned. The Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes has been entrusted with his arrangements.
