Samantha “Sam” Reichart, 68

ALLIANCE-Samantha “Sam” Reichart, 68 of Alliance passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at Alliance Community Hospital. Sam was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Dec. 4, 1945 the daughter of the late Edward and Sara (Wilson) Temple. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, playing cards, fishing and camping. She also was a volunteer at Alliance Community Hospital, a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was a member of the Sebring Band Boosters where she served as President. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren as much as she could.

Survivors include a son Brian Taff of Minerva, step-son Mike Reichart of Sebring, daughters; Michelle (Kirk) Sydnor of Columbus, Crystal (John) Gandee of Alliance, seven grandchildren; Cori Wilson, Heather Stephenson, Elizabeth Gandee, Matthew Reichart, Bailey Gandee, Halie Gandee, Justin Gandee and four great-grandchildren. Sam also had four “adopted” children, Samantha Metzger, Kerry Hawk, Dominique Powell, and Rachel Whicher. She is also survived by brothers; Harold Temple of Columbus, Alvin George Bailey of Maryland, James Temple of Ariz. and sisters; Mary Ann Watson, and Maxine (Wally) Smith both of East Liverpool. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dale Reichart, whom she married on Dec. 24, 1995 and passed on Dec. 31, 2003, and a step-son Jim Reichart.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Burial will take place in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
