Charles “Tony” Richard, 69

CHESTER – Charles “Tony” Richard, 69 of Chester, passed away at East Liverpool City Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on March 23, 1944, in Wellsburg, W.Va., to the late Charles Richard and Esther H. Black Norris.

Tony was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and he last worked at the former Globe Brick in Newell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Cecil Richard and his sister, Mildred Eltringham.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patty Richard at home; his son, John Richard of Newell; his daughters, Joyce Salvaggio and her husband Bob of Newell and Christy Braisted of Chester; his sister, Esther Swope and her husband David of Toledo; his brother, James Richard of Wellsburg; his grandchildren, Sean Brantley, Natasha Richard, and Jenna Brantley; and his great-grandson, Kolton Lux.

As were his wishes, no services are planned and the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is in charge of arrangements.
