Alma Pearl Liggett Mader, 90

CARROLLTON, Ohio – Alma Pearl Liggett Mader, 90, formerly of Carrollton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at her daughter’s residence in Hammondsville. She was born April 9, 1923 daughter of Albert Eugene and Anna Vesta Liggett in Hopedale, Ohio. She was one of nine children. She lived most of her life in Carroll County. She worked as a cook most of her life. As a resident at Carroll County she enjoyed cooking for everyone at the Center for Senior Activities.

Survivors include two daughters; Bonnie (Tom) Shaw of Carrollton and Karen (Joe) Smith of Hammondsville; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were he parents, two husbands; Jim Stenger and Frank Mader; seven brothers; and one sister.

Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Friday and 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Hopedale, Ohio.
