EAST LIVERPOOL – Donald W. Danver, 77, of East Liverpool, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Trinity Medical Center West, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Steubenville, the son of the late John and Olive (Phillips) Danver.

Donald served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958, where he was also a Judo instructor. He was employed for Hall China Company and as a cold strip laborer for the former Crucible Steel Mill, before retiring in 1982 after twenty-five years of employment. He attended the East Liverpool Salvation Army.

He was preceded in death on September 1, 2004, by his wife, Donna J. “Baba” Danver, whom he married Aug. 12, 1955.

Survivors include one daughter: Dona “Dee” Mulhern of East Liverpool; one son: Donald E. Danver and his wife Gina of East Liverpool; one sister: Helen Armstrong of East Liverpool; three granddaughters: Stephanie Henderson and her husband Steve, and Afton and Ariel Danver; and six great-grandchildren: Tayler, Stephan, and Austin Johnson, Nathan and Trace Henderson, Ruckus Gordon; and two great-great-grandchildren: Alesana and Jakoby Herron.

In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by three sisters: Vera Dillon, Mae Murray, and Margaret Adams; and two brothers: Dixon and Dale Danver.

The funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Majors Doug and Stella Stein of the church officiating.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
