Billy Todd

EAST LIVERPOOL — Billy Todd, son of Jeff and Teresa Todd of East Liverpool, has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for October at East Liverpool High School. He is a member of National Honor Society, 2018 Prom Committee, Gaming Club, Marching Band, Lab Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and the Varsity Bowling Team, receiving the Jack Rudibaugh Memorial Bowling Award. He participated with the Stambaugh Youth Concert Band, and received a rating of Superior for three years at Solo and Ensemble. He serves as Percussion Captain and as a Camp Fitch Counselor at ELHS, and as Alter Server at Holy Trinity Parish. He takes Advanced Placement courses at ELHS and CCP coursework through Kent State University. He plans to major in Engineering at Ohio Northern University, where he has received the Trustees Scholarship of $68,000 over four years.

Peyton Reed

EAST LIVERPOOL — Peyton Reed, son of Angel and Heath Reed, of East Liverpool, has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for January at East Liverpool High School. He is a 4.0 student, and ranks no. 1 in his class, taking Advanced Placement coursework. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Booster Club, 2018 Prom Committee, ELHS Thespians Stage Crew, Outdoor Adventure Club, and Yearbook Staff. He is a three-year letterman and senior captain of the football team and two-year letterman and senior captain of the basketball team. He donates his time to the Destiny House food drives and clean up, North Elementary School Family Literacy Nights, Olde Guard Luncheons, the All-Class Reunion and Pottery Festival clean up crews, Ceramic city Jazz Blues and BBQ festivals, and various youth sports activities in the community. He received the ELHS Scholar Athlete Award, OVAC All-Conference Academic Award, and Basketball Mr. Hustle Award. He was also chosen as a 2018 WTOV9/WMC Scholar Athlete of the Week for football, and as a member of the 2018 Buckeye 8 North All-Star First Team for football, the 2018 Eastern District All-Star Division IV Second Team Offense for football, the 2018 Columbiana County High School Football All-Star First Team, and as a 2018 OVAC High School Football Honorable Mention. He plans to major in Chemical Engineering.

Morgan Morris

EAST LIVERPOOL — Morgan Morris, daughter of Dana and Richard Morris of East Liverpool, has been chosen as Scholar of the Month for February at East Liverpool High School. She is an Advanced Placement 4.0 student and ranks no. 1 in her class. She has served as Class Secretary for four years, Vice President of the National Honor Society, Booster Club Vice President, and is a member of Student Council. She was a 2018 delegate to Buckeye Girls’ State and has received the OVAC All-Academic Award. She is a two year member of the Cross Country team, receiving the Rookie of the Year and Ralph Locke awards, and a two year member of the volleyball team. She is a four-year member of the swim team, receiving the Coach’s award and Most Improved Award, and has been a district qualifier for swimming for the past three years. She is a three year letterman and four year member of the track team, being named OVAC Runner Up. She volunteers at her church, the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church, in the nursery and youth programs, as well as Vacation Bible School. She was also a Camp Fitch Counselor for East Liverpool Schools. She plans to major in Pre-medicine, concentrating in Pediatrics.
