Columbiana County Common Pleas

LISBON — Ignacio Rios, 27, Cleveland, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court this week to failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, having weapons while under disability, receiving stolen property and two counts of possession of drugs.

On Sept. 11, Rios refused to stop for deputies on Millrock Road causing them to pursue him through Middleton, Elkrun and Fairfield Townships before he was stopped in Columbiana at the intersection of Park Avenue and West Street. Inside the stolen vehicle authorities found a loaded .45 caliber pistol in a purple backpack, a digital scale, tramadol, fentanyl and cocaine.

Rios is facing up to nine and a half years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is set for May 2.
