East Liverpool Police Reports

Police were called at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday to 1310 Perry Street for a report of a possible sexual assault. Officers arrived and spoke with Joshua Adams, who stated that Todd Birch had assaulted him. Birch left before officers arrived. Officers then spoke with Adams’ mother, Juanita Adams, who told police that Joshua bit her arm, to which a swollen bruise matching a bite mark was observed on her right arm. Ms. Adams told police that she was having sex with Birch when Joshua became angry and thought Birch was hurting her. Ms. Adams said that Joshua got angry that Birch was supposedly a sex offender and was in the house with three children. Officers learned that Ms. Adams tried to stop the two from fighting when Joshua bit her right arm, to which Joshua told officers was done in self-defense. Joshua Adams was taken into custody, cited for domestic violence and transported to the police station.

Police were called at 12:02 a.m. Tuesday to 706 Morton Street for a report of several juvenile females in front of the home threatening to fight another juvenile. Upon arrival, officers found in front of the home two girls who were both immediately place in the squad car. Both were taken to the station to be released to their mother, who in turn was charged with parental responsibility. The report will be submitted to juvenile court to pursue curfew violation charges against the two girls.
