Columbiana County Common Pleas

Arthur J. Gingher, West Grant Street, East Palestine, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to receiving stolen property, a fifth degree felony, for having the wallet of Robert Urgitus containing cash and a credit card from Urgitus’ home on April 10, 2017. He faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Jan. 31.

David A.M. Talbott, 28, Columbiana County Jail stipulated to violating community control he has been on for possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of trafficking in drugs. Talbott was sentenced to an indefinite term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center. Talbott was credited with 53 days incarceration already served.

Bruce E. Easterday, 45, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children. On Dec. 19, 2017, Easterday had a meth lab in a Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, home, where there were two children living. Easterday faces up to 11 years in prison, a $25,000 fine and a five-year license suspension. Sentencing is set for Jan. 24.

Donald C. Fiore, 52, Madison Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to OVI and driving under suspension. Fiore faces up to a five and a half year term incarceration, a $11,500 fine, a lifetime license suspension, a vehicle forfeiture and a mandatory enrollment in an alcohol/drug addiction program. Sentencing is set for Jan. 24. Fiore was driving while intoxicated on June 8, when he had three previous felony-level OVI convictions and already a license suspension.

Mark A. Maola, 55, Faulk Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for having 20 milligrams of amphetamines on March 26, 2017. Maola was placed on three years community control.

Dale L. Knag, 38, Goshen Road, Salem, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and was placed on a two year intervention plan. On June 3, 2017, Knag had oxycodone.
