In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Scott M. Anderson, 49, Deerfield, was fined $900, had his license suspended for a year, sentenced to 12 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for marked lanes and OVI first offense amended from second offense.

Richard L. Howell, 36, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with four days served in jail and required 30 hours community service for domestic violence for punching Jennifer Birchak in the eye on Monday. Birchak, 40, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with four days in jail and required 30 hours community service for domestic violence for striking Howell in the face leaving him with a swollen lower lip. The two, who have had a 14-year relationship, were ordered to have no further contact with each other.

Charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest against Joshua B. Killing, 22, South Broadway, Salem, were dismissed due to Killing currently serving a two-year prison term on other charges.

A Sept. 13 pretrial was set for Richard A. Baker, Seigler Road, Lisbon, charged with aggravated menacing and telecommunications harassment. Baker allegedly called Christy Baker’s phone about 125 times on Aug. 23 and 24, after he had been asked to stop. Additionally, he allegedly called his mother-in-law, Tina Sheely, argued about his 4-year-old daughter and made statements about harming Sheely and that if he could not have his daughter, no one would.

A Nov. 5 pretrial was set for Timothy S. Peterson, 50, Unity Line Road, New Waterford, charged with assault for allegedly punching his nephew, Zachary Peterson, in the face multiple times on Sunday.

Lee T. Knight, 22, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to assault and a sentencing hearing was set for Sept. 10. On Tuesday, Knight tackled Joseph Long, causing Long’s head to strike the bathroom doorway.

A Sept. 10 pretrial was set for Jason J. Walker, 36, East Ninth Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly throwing a glass mug at the head of his girlfriend, Stacey M. Knapp, causing an injury to her right ear on Aug. 29.

A Nov. 19 pretrial was set for Stephen R. Quinn II, 19, West Wilson Street, Salem, cited with possession of drug paraphernalia for a bowl used to inhale marijuana.

Florentino Calel Ajanel, 19, Cleveland Street, Salem, was fined $400 for reckless operation, expired license and disorderly conduct amended from underage consumption.

Jamie A. Risbeck, 41, Washington Street, Salem, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

Craig Wayne Wilson, 45, Youngstown, was fined $150 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and failure to display a valid license.

Todd R. Conduff, 54, Auroa, was fined $150 for lighted lights amended from speeding.

Samantha Mayer, 37, Lisbon Road, Lisbon, was fined $150 for driving under a forfeiture suspension.

Jennifer E. Rodden, 26, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $75 for driving under suspension.

An Oct. 29 pretrial was set for Dylan Ray McLean, 22, East Fifth Street, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

Luis Antonio Vasqueze Galves, 29, Akron, was issued no fine for no license.

Juan Tomas Guico, 20, South Broadway, Salem, was issued no fine for driving with a temporary permit without an eligible driver.

An Oct. 1 pretrial was set for Kimberly I. Edie, 26, last known address East Sixth Street, Salem, cited with possession of drug abuse instruments for a syringe allegedly found in her sock.

An Oct. 29 pretrial was set for Allen Joseph Mackall, 19, Sell Road, Lisbon, cited with possession of marijuana.
