Lisbon Police Reports

Melissa Gentry, East Chestnut Street, reported Wednesday her neighbor, Amy Haines, was across the street yelling and making threats, allegedly telling Gentry she had better hope nothing happens to Gentry’s vehicle during the night. Haines denied saying anything other than telling her children to stay in the yard.

Police were asked to check if a boy was at an East Chestnut Street residence at 6:33 p.m. Thursday. Police arrived and spoke to the child’s father, who said he had removed his child from school and he was transported to Dayton by a relative. Police were given permission to search the house but the child was not there, although the TV in his bedroom was on.

Amy Custer of Salem was shopping at the Save A Lot supermarket on Thursday when she inadvertently left her purse there. After discovering her oversight, Custer returned to the store but her purse was gone. Police intend to review the security video.

A caller reported a man was walking around naked at Apple Grove apartments at 4 p.m. Saturday. Police came across a shirtless and shoeless man but he was wearing blue jeans but they were on backwards. Police went back with him to his apartment, where they found dirt everywhere from a plant and water overflowing from a sink and the bathtub. The man said a friend was hiding in the closet, but police found a plant in there but outside the pot. The resident also claimed there was a bear in the tree line. Police remained until an ambulance transported him to a local hospital for an evaluation.

Norine Davis, West Washington Street, reported April 13 her daughter-in-law Jessica Vitullo keeps coming into her room and throwing things at her and pushing her around. Vitullo agreed to leave for the night to defuse the situation.

A caller reported Thursday a car was parked illegally on Grandview Street and preventing him from getting to his home on Pine Street. Police had the motorist move the vehicle where people frequently park while picking up their children from school, one of whom was waiting for her handicapped daughter. Police told the caller there was still plenty of room for him to turn, which he disputed. Police circled the block and saw the caller was still sitting there even though the other vehicles had left. He was told to move along.
