In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a March 29 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Allen J. Mackall, 18, Sell Road, Lisbon, charged with a felony menacing by stalking and cited for telephone harassment. Mackall is accused of sending multiple text messages to a teenage girl from different phone numbers and sending messages to her friends in an attempt to speak with her when he has been asked to stop contacting her. Additionally, he is accused of following her around school, staring at her constantly, stating several times he will not leave her alone and threatening to kill her boyfriend unless she kisses him.
A March 29 pretrial was set for Derrick J. Faulkner, 33, West Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension, a turn signal violation, failure to comply and possession of marijuana. On Wednesday, Faulkner reportedly failed to stop for a Columbiana police officer, leading to him having to be ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint when the police cruiser pulled up beside him.
Sammy R. Barth, 61, West Perry Street, Salem, was fined $950, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and required 55 hours community service for OVI first offense, driving under FRA suspension and a turn signal violation.
An April 13 court trial was set for Jill M. Gilbert, 41, Y and O Road, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Gilbert allegedly struck John Jay Scritchfield, her boyfriend, in the face and threatened to burn down his home on Tuesday.
An April 10 pretrial was set for Todd R. Wade, 41, Barberton, cited with OVI first offense and two lights displayed.
A May 10 pretrial was set for Anthony J. Smith, 21, Camp Boulevard, Hanoverton, charged with assault for allegedly kicking Bryant Nestor in the face and ribs on March 11.
A May 8 pretrial was set for Mackenzie Rae Orin, 25, Monroe Street, East Liverpool, cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
An assault charge against Justin E. Houle, 34, South Street, East Palestine, was dismissed. Houle had been accused of punching Seth Williams in the face on Dec. 22.
A March 26 pretrial was set for John E. Taylor, 66, New Garden Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly making multiple threats toward Sonja Ellis on Tuesday.
Theodore V. Pase Jr., 69, Main Street, Homeworth, was fined $300, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for speeding and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.
Anthony C. Smith, 20, South Howard Avenue, Salem, pleaded no contest to illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was found with contraband in his vehicle after Salem K-9 Simon alerted to a narcotics odor on Wednesday. Sentencing is set for April 5.
Dewey J. Souers, 28, Knauff Road, Canfield, was fined $330, credited with a day in jail and required 40 hours community service for a turn signals violation, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia for a needle and a spoon found on Wednesday during a traffic stop in Salem with the assistance of K-9 Simon.
Joseph J. Carson, 19, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for drug abuse for marijuana.
Daoud A. Abbadi, 21, 11th Street, Salem, was fined $220 for speeding, possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia
Joshua B. Burris, 33, South Park Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Frank C. Kuhn, 57, Youngstown, was fined $150 for no license and speeding. A driving under FRA suspension citation was dismissed.
Jacqueline A. Valingo, 34, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Toni M. Boyle, 38, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Randy A. Sprouse, 44, Millrock Road, Rogers, was fined $150 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.
An April 24 pretrial was set for Caleb James McHenry, 21, Birch Road, East Liverpool, cited with failure to control.
A seat belt citation against John Gerald Wooley, 42, Silliman Street, New Waterford, was dismissed.
A driving under FRA suspension citation was dismissed against Rick G. Stoffer, 60, East Friend Street, Columbiana.
Ricky A. Kennett, 61, Brookfield, was fined $150 for lighted lights amended from speeding.
Esther B. Reed, 26, Carrollton, was fined $100 for speeding.
Braiden James Shultz, 24, Wheeling, W.Va., was fined $50 for speeding. A reckless operation citation was dismissed.
