Columbiana County Common Pleas

A Youngstown man received probation on weapons and drug possession charges during action this week in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Thomas N. Hight, 40, was sentenced by Judge Scott Washam to four years’ probation for illegally having weapons and two counts of drug possession, all stemming from the same date in October 2015, when law enforcement showed up at a home on Dutchtown School Road, Rogers. Hight fled from the residence but was caught with a loaded handgun on him despite a prior felony conviction. He was also found with heroin and Xanax.

In other court action, Sidni R. Livolsi, 29, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, is scheduled to be sentenced on May 31 after pleading guilty as charged to drug possession. Livolsi was found with 25 Diazepam tablets on state Route 45, Madison Township, in October 2015. The charge was a felony because of a prior drug conviction in 2014.

Daniel J. Jackson, 36, South Lincoln Street, Salem, was sentenced by Judge C. Ashley Pike to eight months in prison for carrying a concealed weapon, with the sentence to be served concurrently with the one he received in another case. A 9 mm handgun was found under the passenger seat of Jackson’s vehicle with him in the vehicle.
