Wellsville Police Reports
Tracey Reid, Commerce Street, reported at the police station around 1 p.m. Jan. 29 that her bank card was missing from her wallet that she left in her unlocked vehicle outside her residence. She was informed by her bank that her card was used at the Dollar Tree in Calcutta. She informed both police and her bank, the card was used by a young woman.
While on patrol around 2 a.m. Tuesday traveling south on state Route 7, police observed a man–identified as Jeremy Cranston of East Liverpool– walking north on the same road. Cranston was known to have an active warrant through the Columbiana County Sheriff’s office. After being able to turn around, the officer was unable to see Cranston on Route 7, but soon found him on Campground Road and initiated the stop. Cranston stated he had no identification on him, and before telling the officer his social security number, he stated he did have a warrant. After receiving confirmation from the Sheriff’s office, Cranston was taken into custody, and also cited for walking on the highway.
