Salineville Police Reports

Police were called to Dollar General at 9:50 p.m. Jan. 27 to a report of a man with a gun. Brenden Sullivan was identified as the suspect, but he denied having a gun. Upon further investigation, Sullivan reportedly was found to have a pellet gun, a marijuana pipe with marijuana and CO2 cartridges which fit the pellet gun. Sullivan was cited with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, but additional charges may follow.

Someone reported a person breaking the glass on the door in Woodland Cemetery on Jan. 23. It appeared to police someone shot out the glass with a BB gun.

Police and Salineville first responders went to a Water Street home where an 87-year-old woman was reported in medical distress on Tuesday. An ambulance transported the woman to Salem Regional Medical Center.

A vehicle was reported on fire off state Route 39 on Jan. 26. The Fox Township Fire Department was there and put the fire out. The 2011 Subaru Impreza was owned by Ryan Geslak, who said he was driving home when his engine compartment caught fire. He had got out and poured bottles of water on fire. No one was injured.

Police were dispatched to a possible vandalism on Lincoln Street at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 22, where the resident told police someone threw coffee on the side of her home. She was uncertain of anyone who would of done this.
