Columbiana County Common Pleas
Corey P. Miller, 25, East Park Avenue, Columbiana, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and misuse of a credit card, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to Assistant County Prosecutor Tammie Riley Jones, Miller had a credit card stolen from the home of a man he was staying with, Vincent Strines. Between Dec. 29 and Dec. 31 in 2016, Miller attempted to use the card in Columbiana County eight times and was successful in using it six times to make purchases totalling about $200, Jones said. Miller is facing up to a year in prison and $3,500 in fines. Sentencing is set for April 23.
Jacob L. Terry, 25, East Washington Street, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs and two counts of trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances. He is facing up to four and half years in prison, fines of $15,000 and a five year license suspension. Sentencing is set for April 16. In June and July of 2016, Terry sold marijuana once and counterfeit substances on two other occasions.
Larry White, 61, East Fifth Street, Salem, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction. White pleaded guilty to permitting drug abuse and was placed on a three-year intervention treatment plan. White was found to have both heroin and cocaine in the home where he was staying on East Perry Street in Salem on March 22, 2016.
