Liverpool Township Police Reports
At 12:34 a.m. New Year’s Day, Amber M. Haney, 27, LaCroft Avenue called to report her boyfriend had assaulted her then hit himself in the face and scratched himself with a key to give the appearance she had assaulted him. Officers arriving at the home were greeted by Haney’s 8-year-old son, who said his father had struck himself. Officers reported seeing a “bowl” on the table with residue in it, and said Haney told them it, as well as a marijuana roach in an ash tray was her boyfriend’s. She took them into the kitchen and showed officers scales, a grinder and another pipe she said was his and was asked if she allows that kind of behavior to take place in her house with kids around. Haney said she didn’t know it was there and had just gotten home. Officers reported Haney yelling about her boyfriend’s behavior and taking her car and said she was going to talk with Chief Jayson Jackson and left the house, walking up the road in the snow in her bare feet. When asked if she was going to leave her children home alone, she returned to the house, according to reports. Officers went to a Seventh Avenue residence to speak with Haney’s boyfriend, Kevin Reynolds, who they said had no marks on him and denied injuring himself. While they were there, Haney called several times and when they returned to her house, she reportedly came outside screaming and throwing things. She was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia–marijuana. Her son and 2-year-old daughter were taken to their grandmother’s and Haney was taken to jail.
