EL man charged in Operation Big Oak

LISBON — Another man was charged as linked to the Operation Big Oak indictments and served with his charges on Friday.

Benjamin J. Frederick, 39, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, is charged with four counts of aggravated possession of drugs and three counts of possession of cocaine. Frederick is alleged to have fentanyl and cocaine in April and May. Frederick is one of 102 people charged in a ring of drug-related activity.

In a case non-related to Operation Big Oak, Ricky E. Cochran, 59, Grafton Road, Leetonia, was served a secret indictment for a possession of drugs charge for allegedly having less than five grams of cocaine on April 11. The indictment was issued by the county grand jury in November.
