Columbiana County Sheriff
Melvin Gorby, state Route 170, Middleton Township, reported at 1:30 p.m. Monday he let someone he knows by the name of Tommy borrow his truck two weeks earlier with the understanding it would be returned in two days. The truck has not been returned and Gorby heard Tommy may be incarcerated in the Mahoning County jail.
Chad Anthony Collins, Riffle Road, reported at 10:29 a.m. Tuesday he was checking his credit score online and found there is a Visa credit card account in his name which he did not apply for. The account opened on May 1 and closed by Visa in September because of non-payment of charges. Collins contacted the bank to alert them the account was fraudulent. The bank had an address and other information on the account which did not match Collins’ information. More than $500 was charged to the account.
