In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Dec. 11 preliminary hearing was set for James W. Strait, 37, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with complicity to aggravated robbery for allegedly driving Ignacio “Nas” Rios to a Garfield Avenue, Salem, home to collect a past drug debt from William Tondo on Sept. 4. After Rios allegedly struck Tondo in the head and while Rios reportedly held Tondo at gunpoint, Strait is alleged to have removed two portable DVD players, a PlayStation and a TV, owned by Tondo’s mother from the home. Strait’s bond is $50,000 cash or surety. A falsification charge against Strait was dismissed due to an insufficient complaint.
A Dec. 11 preliminary hearing was set for Bryant R. Rather, 30, Pittsburgh, Pa., charged with improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Rather’s accused of having a loaded Smith and Wesson SD9VE behind the passenger seat of a vehicle during a traffic stop on Saturday.
Brandon Votaw, 28, Oak Street, Leetonia, was credited with a day served in jail for criminal trespassing after he was found at a home at 49 W. Main St., Leetonia, while passing four private property signs and an additional sign indicating “No Trespassing” and “Violators Will Be Prosecuted.”
Scott Marucci, 22, Youngstown, was fined $375, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for marked lanes and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense.
A Dec. 11 pretrial was set for Dina M. Teagle, 46, Lake Park Boulevard, Sebring, charged with assault for allegedly pushing in the door to the home of Cassie Edwards, Buck Road, Beloit, which struck Edwards in the shoulder on Saturday.
A Dec. 14 pretrial was set for William D. Barrett Sr., 57, Wyoming Avenue, East Liverpool, cited with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly asking a friend to contact a protected person on Nov. 15 with a request they give him a call.
A Jan. 8 pretrial was set for Megan M. Parker, 39, Anna Street, East Palestine, charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. Parker allegedly yelled at police and refused to step away while police were leading her sister, Morgan Parker, to a sheriff’s vehicle in the East Palestine police station parking lot on Friday.
A Jan. 11 pretrial was set for Jonathan F. Butts, 40, West Pershing Street, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.
A Jan. 18 pretrial was set for Rachel Bikauskas, 31, Somer Street, Leetonia, cited with OVI first offense, driving under FRA suspension, failure to control and a seat belt violation.
A Jan. 18 pretrial was set for Timothy S. Eddinger, 26, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly using a pocket knife to scratch the paint on a car owned by Shelby Vollnogle after becoming angry when the woman inside, Julia McFarland, would not get out of the car on Nov. 1.
A Jan. 30 pretrial was set for Jessica M. Hazel, 32, Cleveland Avenue, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly concealing $160 in merchandise in her purse at Walmart in Salem on Sunday.
A Feb. 5 pretrial was set for Curtis L. Crank Jr., 28, East Fifth Street, Salem, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly kicking a dent into a panel of a vehicle owned by Tyler Morrison on Saturday.
A Feb. 6 pretrial was set for Roger L. Clay, 50, Cleveland Avenue, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly shoplifting $94 in merchandise on Sunday.
A Feb. 13 pretrial was set for Whitney Jean Barnes, 31, state Route 45, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense, OVI breath .17 plus first offense and assured clear distance.
Linda Lee Dapollonia, 37, Fairview Street, East Liverpool, was fined $360 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and speeding.
Christian L. Gingher, 46, Louisville, was fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Jennifer L. Santee, 38, Whinnery Road, Hanoverton, was fined $150 for speeding.
Herbert Walter Lockhart III, 29, East Main Street, Salineville, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Jeanne M. Scanlon, 54, Depot Road, Salem, was fined $100 for temporary permit required.
A driving under FRA suspension citation against Jordan M. Stoakes, 25, Beloit, was dismissed.
An April 30 court trial was set for Joseph W. Hager Jr., 31, Ravenna, cited with following an emergency vehicle.
