In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Clint A. Myers, 34, South Union Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle. On Oct. 28, Myers allegedly had a Ruger 9mm handgun with 17 rounds inside the magazine in the firearm inside the Toyota Rav4 he was driving.
Kathryn A. Sims, 28, West 14th Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a theft charge for allegedly taking a check belonging to Terri Sims in her coat pocket when she was arrested on a warrant at the Salem Walmart on Nov. 23. She was also sentenced to 180 days in jail for two counts of driving under suspension, theft, possession of drug abuse instruments, criminal trespassing, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and a turn signal violation. She was credited with eight days already served. The theft charge was for allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on June 10 and the criminal trespassing charge was for returning to the same Walmart on Nov. 23.
John M. Poling, 38, Deming Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on a domestic violence charge for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Beth Hale, on Nov. 21.
Rick J. Willis Jr., 27, Spring Street, Salineville, was sentenced to 10 days in jail, credited with an additional 10 days already served, fined $250 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of a drug abuse instrument. Willis allegedly had a syringe sticking out of his pants pocket and suspected suboxone in his wallet, but admitted had gone to the Rogers area on Oct. 25 to buy heroin.
Chad E. Brewer, 35, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $450, credited with a day served in jail and sentenced to an additional 59 days for assault, resisting arrest and persistent disorderly conduct. Brewer allegedly laid on the ground to avoid arrest, was forcibly carried to the police cruiser and spit at police officers.
Andrew T. Minich, 25, Lake Park Boulevard, Sebring, was fined $400, had his license suspended for 180 days, credited with nine days served in jail and sentenced to an additional 11 days in jail for possession of marijuana and possession of drug abuse instruments for two syringes on June 10.
Ryan L. Pritt, 35, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, was fined $280, sentenced to two days in jail and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.
Samantha Howell, 24, Diamond Street, Irondale, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.
Kevin M. Curtis, 23, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $230 and credited with a day in jail for possession of a drug abuse instrument, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to display a valid sticker and a turn signal violation.
John W. Kelly, 52, state Route 154, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with a day in jail and required 30 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for shoving Carolyn Curran against the lawn mower and striking her lip, before throwing her to the ground and dragging her around by her hair, then throwing her outside the front door on Sept. 19.
Julia Lynn McFarland, 23, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was fined $925, had her license suspended for two years, sentenced to 20 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for OVI second offense and failure to control.
A Dec. 26 pretrial was set for Juliethdaniella Arango, 20, Franklin Avenue, Salem, cited with failure to stop after an accident, no license and improper backing.
A Dec. 11 pretrial was set for Jonathan M. Weaver, 30, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, cited with possession of a drug abuse instrument.
A Jan. 18 pretrial was set for Carly Mae Williams, 21, West Perry Street, Salem, cited with possession of a controlled substance.
A Jan. 25 pretrial was set for Stuart A. Ward, 28, Avon Lake, cited with OVI first offense.
A Jan. 25 pretrial was set for David Wayne Fonner, 28, Carlisle Road, Lisbon, cited with reckless operation.
A Feb. 1 pretrial was set for Timothy R. Noling, 19, McCloskey Road, New Waterford, cited with drug paraphernalia and drug possession.
A Feb. 8 pretrial was set for Christine R. Desellem, 27, West Main Street, Salineville, cited with driving under FRA suspension and a seat belt violation.
A Feb. 8 pretrial was set for Samantha L. Yocum, 23, West Main Street, Salineville, cited with driving under suspension.
Alan L. Mitchell, 55, Maple Street, Washingtonville, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from assured clear distance.
Gonzalez Perez LaZaro, 35, Columbia Street, Salem, was fined $50 for no license and expired registration.
Tomas Chivalan, 24, Maple Street, Salem, was fined $50 for no license.
Vargas C. Guillermo, 29, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $50 for no license and a turn signal violation.
A charge of failure to reinstate a license against Jennifer R. Disanto, 55, Silver Lake, was dismissed.
