James J. Denman, Lowmiller Road, West Township, reported a domestic disturbance at 5:13 a.m. Sunday. Denman reported his ex-girlfriend, Deana Henley, came to the home early that morning, appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and began yelling. Everyone at the home was awakened, including Denman and the babysitter, Michelle Smith. Hensley reportedly began to slap him and scream threats she would kill him and she would bring others to the home to beat him and rob him. She also reportedly threatened to have sex with Smith’s boyfriend. Henley left before deputies arrived and Denman did not want to pursue charges because he did not believe it would improve the situation, but asked how to obtain a restraining order or protection order.

Deputies were requested to the county jail at 2:17 a.m. Sunday after an inmate became uncooperative, combative and reportedly was making threats to jail staff. Gary A. White Jr. had been brought in by Salem police and was clearly intoxicated. He refused to go into his cell when commanded and threatened to kill one officer when he got out of jail. White, 32, was charged with aggravated menacing.

Deputies checked a home on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township. The home was checked and everything appeared secure.
