East Liverpool Police Reports

Called at 3:14 a.m. Sunday morning to Orchard Grove for reports of loud music, officers spoke with Linda McKinnon, 24, Russell Lane, who they said was intoxicated and told them she was watching the house for a relative and would have the noise turned down. At 4:29 a.m., officers were called back to the address for a fight in the middle of the street, where they saw several people running away, McKinnon standing on the sidewalk and Joshua E. Brooks, 25, Riverview Street, lying on the ground. McKinnon told officers she didn’t know who ran but that they were juveniles. Officers heard a noise coming from inside the house and then saw a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl hiding in the bushes. They smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and could barely walk, according to reports. They were taken by cruiser to Minerva Street where the boy’s mother, Natasha Johnson, 35, said the girl had been staying with them for three years because her parents abandoned her and they were supposed to be staying at a friend’s house that night. She was charged with a parental responsibility offense and told the juvenile court will contact her about her son. Officers reported that Johnson’s residence is a “constant problem” due to juvenile issues including suspected drinking, drug use, curfew violations and neighborhood complaints.

Bridget Bader, no address listed, told officers she was driving south on state Route 11 between Calcutta and the city when a vehicle passed her driven by a female she knows who made an obscene gesture and nearly struck Bader’s vehicle. When Bader reached her mother’s house on Lee Street, her mother said a family member against whom Bader has a restraining order called and said if she ever did that again – referring to the incident on state Route 11 – he would shoot her. She told police the woman in the car must have lied to him about what happened and she wanted the incident documented.

Officers were called by East Liverpool City School District officials about a sexual predator being present at a back to school event. In speaking with the man, he told officers he has no restrictions on his status other than having to report his address, which they confirmed through the county sheriff’s office’s sexual registry. School officials were advised of this.

East Liverpool City Hospital contacted police to report treating a female who reported being raped in her home two days prior. The case was referred to the detectives’ bureau.

Mark Kindsvatter, North Street, reported someone ripped off two boards covering a window in his garage but no entry was made.
