East Liverpool Police Reports

Officers responded July 16 to an argument along Ravine Street involving a female and two males. The female stated she didn’t want the uninvited male at the residence. He was advised by officers to leave and not return or he may be charged.

Officers waited with a male July 16 along West 5th and Monroe streets until his mother arrived on scene. He reportedly was seen looking in vehicles. Officers advised him to leave the area.

Nothing was found when officers responded to a call July 16 concerning debris on the Jennings Randolph Bridge.

A mother and her daughter were reported to be having a verbal argument July 16 at a Grant Street residence. Officers arrived and the two said they were done and one was leaving. She did and officers cleared the scene.

A complaint was received July 17 about a person in a gold Jeep Cherokee with Pennsylvania license plates soliciting for work in the Beechwood Avenue area. Officers checked with negative contact.

Shane Taubert, no address reported, was cited for possession of marijuana following an incident July 17 at Fulmer Park, along Moore Street. Officers were dispatch to the area on an anonymous report of both juveniles and adults drinking and smoking weed. When officers approached a group at the park, Taubert, it was reported, walked away from officers and toward a vehicle, appearing to conceal something in a blue shirt he was holding in his left hand. Taubert then placed the shirt in the back seat of the vehicle and walked away. The officer went to the vehicle and reported seeing what he believed was a glass bong sticking out of the shirt. The officer reached into the vehicle and grabbed the items, a shirt and a bong. Taubert, it was reported became upset and yelled at the officers, claiming a search warrant was needed, and then “got up into (the officer’s) personal space and continued to yell.” Taubert was placed in cuffs and seated in the cruiser. Taubert later advised officers he had a “couple baggies” of marijuana in his pocket.

Responding July 17 to a report of an open door at a property along Webber Way and Dresden Avenue, officers discovered employees of the property owner inside.

Officers responded to a possible domestic July 17 at an Avondale Street residence, where a female said she and her live-in boyfriend were arguing about finances and other problems around the home. Officers checked the home for the male, but with negative contact.

Officers spoke July 17 to a Minerva Street mother and a juvenile daughter, who were arguing.

Responding July 17 to Dodge Street, an officer spoke with a taxi driver and the passenger about an unpaid $2.50 fare. The individual who owed the fare said he would have someone pay, and the driver was informed how to file charges if it doesn’t happen.

On July 17, officers checked the Anderson Boulevard area, with negative contact, for a red Ford Escort, with temporary tags, which reportedly was being driven recklessly — passing vehicles in a no passing zone while on St. Clair Avenue. Anderson Boulevard was the last known direction of travel of the vehicle.

The same description of the vehicle later was provided by a caller who stated juveniles were on a garage roof in the May Street area. They became defiant against the caller and then left in the vehicle.

A Denver Street resident reported July 17 the rear license plate of his Ford F150 was missing.

Officers received a call July 17 of juveniles playing on demolition equipment along Fenton Street. The area was checked with negative contact.

Eric Ream, no address listed, was cited July 18 for open container in public after an officer witnessed him taking a drink from a 24-ounce can of beer while standing on a sidewalk along Lincoln Avenue. The report stated the officer dumped the remaining contents of the can.

Charles L. Bailey, no address listed, was cited July 18 for open container in public after an officer witnessed him taking a drink from a 24-ounce can of beer while sitting on a sidewalk along West 9th Street. The report stated the officer dumped the remaining contents of the can.

An employee of Smith Oil, St. Clair Avenue, reported July 19 a customer pumped $33 in gas into a vehicle without paying.

Lindsey B. Sudano, North Maple Street, Duquoin, Ill., was cited July 17 for left of center and driving under suspension following an accident along Pennsylvania Avenue in which she admitted to exiting the parking lot of a gas station and striking a vehicle operated by Kendra Arnold, Louise Street, East Liverpool.
