Columbiana County Sheriff Reports

Rick Dyke, Quay Road, Negley, reported there was a suspicious vehicle in the area at 9 p.m. Thursday, but the vehicle was gone by the time a deputy arrived.

Deputies were called to a possible domestic dispute on state Route 45, Salem Township, at 8:12 p.m. Thursday, where Tiffany Reese reported having an argument with Antuan Parker but nothing more. Reese left to spend the night elsewhere.

Jacky Poteet, Mountz Road, East Rochester, reported Friday reported her daughter was shopping with friends in Boardman when one of her friends asked to borrow the daughter’s purse. The friend was later busted for shoplifting and the purse was returned to the friend, but the friend’s mother will not let her return the purse to Poteet’s daughter because she wants to keep it as evidence for the court case. The deputy told the friend’s mother she had no right to hold onto someone’s elses property, and the mother was going to make arrangements to turn the purse over to the deputy.
