Lisbon Police Reports

Police responded to a report of a man trying to start a fight at the Steel Trolley Diner at 12:18 a.m. Monday. Police spoke to the staff there and were told the person who was trying to start the fight had left.

A mentally handicapped person in town approached police at 3:46 a.m. Monday to say a friend stopped over to visit and then asked if he could watch while he pleasured himself. Police told him to cut off contact to the other person, and police then spoke to the other man who said he went over there to use his cellphone and then he cleaned up all of the cat feces in the house. Police advised him to stay away from the caller.

Tracy Evans, East Chestnut Street, reported there were suspicious youths outside the house at 11:47 p.m. March 3. Police checked the area but did not see anyone around.

Police responded to a report of a Kendall House resident acting violent at 9:07 p.m. Saturday. The resident was claiming to hear voices when she tried to assault a resident manager and began threatening others. The resident was transported to a local hospital, which released her because there was nothing wrong with her. When the woman returned she agreed to be transported to another local hospital to perform a mental evaluation. Police had been called to the Kendall House the day before at 8:49 p.m. in regard to the same resident being belligerent.

Police responded to a reported disturbance at Shenanigan’s Pub at 10:09 p.m. Friday but the staff said everything was fine. The anonymous call had come from a blocked number.

Robbie Hunt, state Route 45, Lisbon, was turning around in the Family Recovery Center parking lot at 5:26 p.m. Thursday when he struck a parked vehicle belonging to Alan Parson.

Judy Laber, North Elm Street, Columbiana, reportedly struck a vehicle belonging to the county Veterans Services Commission in the VSC parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Police were called to Smith Oil at 8:45 p.m. Sunday about someone sitting in a parked car in the lot for over an hour. The man told police he pulled over to talk at length on the phone with his family members. The man said he left at one point but was chased by someone in a dark blue Ford Ranger, who began yelling that he needed to go back and pay for his gas. The man said he never purchased any gas.

The Ohio Highway Patrol asked police to find Robert Trapp because his vehicle was blocking the roadway on state Route 164 at 7:19 p.m. Monday. Police went to the Trapp residence on West Lincoln Way, and his wife said the vehicle had broken down while it was being driven by their daughter.

A home security firm asked police to check Alice Joseph, Jerome Street at 1:55 p.m. Monday, and Joseph told police she was fine and must have bumped the alarm while cleaning.

Norma J. Mustake, 71, McSwiggen Road, Salineville, was cited for failure to yield after she struck a vehicle driven by Richard D. Beach, 78, of New Cumberland, W.Va., at the intersection of Market Street and Lincoln Way at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
