In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Stephen W. Bell Jr., 30, East Fourth Street, Salem, was bound over to the county grand jury on domestic violence and endangering children charges. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety. Bell allegedly struck Kimberly Edie, 24, on Jan. 12 and had done so over the course of several days, leaving her with injuries to her back, legs, arms, head and wrists. On Jan. 13 he reportedly threw a phone at Edie while she was holding a 16-month-old child and struck the child in the shoulder. Bell already has a domestic violence conviction from Stark County in September.

Sierra L. Carbone, 26, Boardman, was bound over to the grand jury on a theft charge. She is accused of taking $1,200 and several jewelry items from various rooms at Whispering Pines Village while she worked there in December.

Steven Flowers, 39, Spaite Drive, East Palestine, was fined $975, had his license suspended for a year, ordered to attend a three-day counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, speeding and driving under suspension.

Kendra Chestnut, 28, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $500, required 40 hours community service and had her license suspended for six months for driving under FRA suspension and hit skip.

Matthew Campanelli, 41, East Fourth Street, Salem, was fined $500 and credited with three days in jail for failure to file a income tax return in Salem for the years 2008-2015.

Anthony D. Helman, 27, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $250 and credited with three days in jail for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for cornering Beth Hays in the laundry room, grabbing her glasses from her face and pushing her causing a large scratch on her neck on Oct. 29. Hays, Prospect Street, Salem, was found in contempt of court for failing to appear for a subpoena in the case and ordered to pay costs.

Anthony J. Antonas, 36, Latta Road, East Palestine, was fined $250, credited with two days in jail and required 40 hours community service for domestic violence for striking Cheyenne Copper in the face on Aug. 5.

A Jan. 26 pretrial was set for Douglas C. Toothman, 39, East Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly punching Kelly J. Hooper while she was driving on state Route 45 near the  highway patrol barracks on Tuesday.

A Jan. 26 pretrial was set for Takota J. Frederick, 18, last known address North 17th Street, Sebring, cited with obstructing official business for allegedly giving police in Salem a false name twice on Thursday.

A Jan. 26 pretrial was set for Matthew J. Crowl, 38, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, charged with criminal mischief for allegedly entering the Salem Walmart on Dec. 24 where he has been previously arrested and charged with theft and then fleeing into the store to elude police. He also was reportedly found with merchandise hidden in his crotch area.

A Jan. 26 pretrial was set for Joshua R. Monday, 36, Columbia Street, Salem, cited with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly pointing a handgun at people in the alley behind his home on Wednesday. Then when he was located on a porch of his home he allegedly refused to show his hands or listen to officers. He then reportedly threw the gun a police, who then had to fight with him to take him into custody.

A Feb. 16 pretrial was set for Nicholas A. Pizzoferrato, 41, South Market Street, East Palestine, cited with lane violations and temporary permit helmet required.

A Feb. 27 pretrial was set for Juventino Anjanel, 36, Cleveland Street, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, expired license, lane violations and open container.

A March 14 pretrial was set for Linda Lee Weyand, 49, Chaffin Avenue, East Liverpool, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

Chelsey Oiler, 18, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for lighted lights required amended from speeding.

Oleksandr Batih, 31, Wethersfield, Conn., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Bonnie Fishman, 56, Westview Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Robert H. Gilbert, 45, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from failure to yield.
