Lisbon Police Reports

An employee of the Kendall House, a residential treatment facility for women, reported that resident Vickie Waite went to give her a hug on Friday and began choking her instead with a bathroom robe belt. This was witnessed by another employee but not reported until the next day. Waite, 56, was charged with assault and taken to the county jail.

Police and EMTs were called to Sunrise Homes at 10:37 a.m. Saturday because a 60-year-old man was choking and turning blue. Before police arrived one of the caretakers was able to get the man to spit up whatever was lodged in his throat.

Herb Chesney reported hearing someone in the apartment above the former Chef’s Table at 3:50 p.m Thursday and no one should be there. Police did not find anyone there but it did look like the apartment had been broken into at some point. When contacted, the building owner said there was nothing upstairs to steal.

A clerk at Valley View reported at 6 p.m. Thursday there was a man in the store with a dog and he was threatening them. Police caught up with the man, identified as Kevin Kriss, 49, who said he had been arguing with the clerk but denied threatening her. Kriss was told to go home and not return.

A caller reported two drunken women were going to drive away after being at the Courthouse Inn at 10:34 p.m. Saturday. Police spoke with the women, who said they had someone coming to pick them up, and police remained until that happened.

Theft charges were filed against Ashley D. Barron, 33, Desellem Road, Lisbon, who is accused of shoplifting packs of gum from Smith Oil on Nov. 21. Surveillance video showed Barron sticking the gum in her pockets and then leaving without paying.
