Wellsville Police Reports

Police were called at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 21 to Shaub Towers on Main Street for a welfare check on Brad Vankirk. Officers spoke with a tenant/caretaker of the apartment complex, who said she saw Vankirk fall outside of a truck and laid there until someone helped him up. Officers made contact with Vankirk and asked him numerous questions, which he answered correctly. When asked by an officer if he needed medical attention, Vankirk declined. Upon leaving, an officer noticed Vankirk was not stumbling or walking oddly aside from his normal abilites. Both Vankirk and the caretaker were advised to contact police if any help was needed.

Dave Howard, Highland Avenue, reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday a complaint against his former girlfriend, Tanya Beebout. Howard told police he was returning his son’s library books and headed back to his vehicle when Beebout came from the Crystal Lounge and screamed at him and reportedly made threats, saying that his days were numbered and that she would get him. Howard added that someone came out of the Crystal Lounge and stopped her from getting any closer to him. Howard was advised as to how to obtain a protection order.
