Salineville Police Reports

While on patrol around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, police observed a vehicle traveing on East Main Street at a high rate of speed exceeding the posted limit and recognized the driver as Timothy Cornell, East Main Street, with prior knowledge he was suspended. Upon attempting to turn around and pursue, the suspected vehicle took off and a traffic stop could not be initiated. Cornell returned to his residence, where officers made contact with him and cited him for driving under suspension.

Police were called at 6:49 p.m. Friday to the Dollar General on West Main Street regarding an unwanted subject. The person was contacted at his residence and was given a warning for trespassing.

Police were called at 7:45 p.m. Friday to the Main Street Primitives store on Water Street following a report of breaking and entering. Officers noted that some of the items had been stolen and a window was broken.

Owners of the Salt Kettle Gallery on West Main Street reported at 3:50 p.m. Monday that children were throwing bricks and rocks in the rear of the property, and requested extra patrols in an attempt to stop the children’s destructive behavior.
