East Liverpool Police Reports

Officers responded to Bank Street for reports of a yelling and screaming coming from a residence, where they found a woman holding an infant in the front window, frantically signaling them to come into the house. As they prepared to enter the home, the woman, later identified as Casey B. Davis, 20, 919 Bank Street, came into the front yard, screaming that John S. Joy, 34, same address, had struck her and was holding her against her will. She said Joy had fled out the back when officers arrived because he had an outstanding warrant. Officers searched for Joy as Davis told other officers that he had grabbed her by the back of the neck and thrown her back into the house, striking her in the head before jamming the door shut by wedging large knives into it. A domestic violence warrant was issued for Joy.

Janet D. Geibel, 53, Aten Acres, Wellsville, was northbound on Virginia Avenue when Christopher Howard, 8, Mapletree Street, rode his bicycle out of Mapletree Street, striking Geibel’s vehicle. Officers said the child was not wearing safety equipment, nor was his bicycle equipped with a light, and he failed to yield to the vehicle. No injuries or charges were reported.

Zoe Faloon, 81, no address listed, came to the police department to report someone removed more than $400 from her bank account without authorization. An investigation is underway.
