East Liverpool Police Reports

Employees of Giant Eagle on Bradshaw Avenue reported seeing Robert E. Stevens, 47, no address listed, obtaining lunch meat from the deli counter and then leaving the store with the meat in his pocket without paying for it. He was stopped on Irish Ridge Road by township police, and he reportedly admitted taking the meat and giving it to his sister at the “high rise.” He was charged with petty theft.

Clint Williams, Etruria Street, reported a person he knows threatened to burn down his house while at Gina’s Drive-Thru.

A 5-year-old child was seen playing at 9:50 a.m. Sunday in front of an East Ninth Street residence by a woman who stopped to asked where he lived. When he said he lived in LaCroft, the woman called police, who determined the boy was staying at his father’s home at East Ninth and St. John streets and had gotten out of the house while his father was sleeping. The child told police he just wanted to go home to mom.

Officers stood by Sunday morning while a Florence Street woman gathered her children’s belongings after telling officers she wanted to leave her husband.
