Common Pleas of Columbiana County
Damien Satterwhite, 22, Glenn Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to four counts receiving stolen property and Chief Assistant County Prosecutor John Gamble said he will be requesting a two-year prison term for Satterwhite at the sentencing hearing set for Feb. 16. Satterwhite was one of four people charged in connection to a string of daylight burglaries investigated by St. Clair Township police earlier this year. Satterwhite’s charges claimed he had a list of stolen merchandise — two rifles, a pistol, a handbag, miscellaneous watches, jewelry, a tablet, a Playstation, a wireless speaker, baseball cards, a Masonic money clip and three iPads on June 5.
John Lyle II, 41, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool, offered an Alford Plea to a felonious assault charge, a second-degree felony. Lyle was accused of harming or attempting to harm Shane Davis with a knife on Nov. 15, 2015. Sentencing is set for Feb. 23.
Mark E. Foden, 46, Mingo Junction, was sentenced in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court last week to 18 months in prison for breaking and entering and two counts of theft. On Oct. 31, 2015, Foden entered the Garwood Machine Shop on Short Road, a place he was familiar with because he had once worked there. While there he took a .22-caliber rifle and 2,000 pounds of copper bars belonging to Seth Garwood. The bars were valued at least $7,500 and less than $150,000. He later tried to sell the items he had stolen.
