A charge of illegal conveyance of a drug of abuse onto the grounds of a detention facility against Justin D. Temple, 29, Jefferson Street, Salineville, was dismissed in Columbiana County Municipal Court so it can be presented directly to the grand jury. Temple had been transported from the county jail following an alleged overdose and possible heroin was found in a plastic bag in his pocket by EMS personnel.
Joshua Blackburn, 19, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was fined $725, had his license suspended for 180 days, sentenced a three days counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, loud exhaust and unsafe motor vehicle.
David D. Detwiler, 43, Kingwood Drive, Columbiana, was fined $250 and credited with two days in jail for disorderly conduct for making an unreasonable noise on June 28, walking up and down Leake Street in East Palestine yelling and cursing after one of them had called police about loud music in the house where he was living at the time.
Christopher J. Thomas, 31, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $250, had his license suspended for 180 days, credited with 23 days served and sentenced to an additional 67 days in jail for possession of a drug abuse instrument for a syringe he told authorities he was cleaning because he had just used it on Aug. 19 to help someone injecting heroin.
Sherrie J. Moore, 53, North Market Street, Lisbon, was fined $500, credited with 14 days served, required to pay $40 in restitution to Rodney Harsh, required to pay $60 in restitution to Wendy Alexander and ordered to perform 30 hours community service for two counts of theft. Moore went inside her home, locked the door and did not pay the Paul’s Cab drivers for the rides home on July 30 and Aug. 23.
Jared P. White, 29, New Castle, Pa., was fined $200 and required 50 hours community service for menacing for threatening Steven Ziser in an aggressive manner on Sept. 12.
Robert D. White Jr., 65, Lisbon Street, Columbiana, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Melanie E. Scott, 37, North Middle Street, Columbiana, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension.
Andy W. Mahon, 56, Neeld Road, East Palestine, was fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Eric V. Beight, 54, Dickson Road, Petersburg, was fined $200 for conducting activities prohibited without a permit and keeping a place where beer or intoxicated liquors are furnished after agents from the Ohio Department of Public Safety found patrons getting drinks from a bar at a charity event at Buffalo Hollow without the proper permit on Sept. 17.
A Nov. 7 pretrial was set for Ricky C. Ferry, 54, Slater Road, Salem, charged with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly going to the home of his estranged wife, Joanne Ferry on Thursday and backing into her driveway.
A Nov. 17 pretrial was set for Anthony D. Helman, 27, Prospect Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly cornering Beth Hays in the laundry room, grabbing her glasses from her face and pushing her on Saturday.
A Nov. 21 pretrial was set for David W. Merriman, 49, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing Sherry Davis on Friday, punching her in the face, choking her and threatening to kill her.
A Dec. 8 pretrial was set for Eric D. Ward, 53, East Second Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly choking Tammy Black on Oct. 14.
Clare T. Prezzia, 22, Clinton, Pa., was fined $150 for lighted lights required amended from speeding.
Lonnie L. Lamadline, 59, Paris, Mich., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.
Zachary Greenlief, 23, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $100 for speeding.
A Dec. 5 pretrial was set for Zachary L. Rucker, 26, Canton, cited with driving under suspension.
