A Walmart loss prevention officer reported a shoplifter, saying they have been trying to catch him for some time and finally caught him taking a few items from the infant department, paying for one item at the self checkout and then walking back to the infant department, where he loaded up on other items he had placed there earlier. The man forced open the doors at the electronics department, where he was confronted and asked to see his merchandise, but he refused, according to the LPO. He told the employee to call the police and left on foot, Although the loss prevention officer did not know the man, another employee was able to identify him. Officers were attempting to reach the LPO for statements.
An officer received information from a passerby about possible drug activity in the Sheetz parking lot, where the officer saw a woman standing next to a vehicle. When she saw him, she turned and went into the store, where employees later told him she was asking why all the police were outside. The passenger in the vehicle also went into the store and when both came out, the passenger got behind the wheel and the woman in the passenger seat, and the vehicle traveled onto state Route 170. The woman, identified as Tiffany J. Keyes, 22, no address listed, was located in the restroom at Tim Horton’s and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and transported to county jail.
Officers responded to Birch Road for an argument between Donna Potts and Matthew Rudder and were told there was no physical violence, just a lot of yelling in front of the children. Potts had a ride coming and officers stood by until she left with her belongings and children.
