St. Clair Township Police Reports for 6-7

Officers were dispatched Tuesday to the intersection of state Route 170 and Fredericktown Road for a man lying in the roadway. Jamie P. Tice, 40, no address listed, reported he had been struck by a vehicle which kept on going. He was transported to the hospital by Lifeteam ambulance.

A Cannons Mill Road residence reported hearing noises at her chicken coop and looking out to see the neighbor’s dogs, one of which was nearly inside the coop. She shot a .22 rifle in an attempt to scare off the dogs, one of which was struck in the leg area before they ran off. Officers tried to contact the dogs’ owners, to no avail, and the home owner was advised to contact the dog warden. The woman was not identified in reports.

While on patrol, an officer doing a random license plate check learned the vehicle had been reported stolen from Columbus and made a traffic stop on Martha Street. The driver, Natasha A. Miller, 21, McDonald Street, smelled of marijuana, according to the officer, who had K-9 Axel search the exterior of the vehicle, where he reportedly alerted on the driver’s side. Miller reportedly told officers she had marijuana in her bra. Nothing illegal was found in the vehicle. She was charged with possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

Amanda L. Males, 36, Peterson Road, Wellsville, was charged with petty theft and possession of criminal tools Thursday night after she reportedly selected 32 items from the shelves at Walmart, placed some in two purses and some in a shopping cart, then walked out without paying for them. The items were recovered.
