Columbiana County Common Pleas for 6-12

David Tedder, 50, last known address Rose Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to burglary, a second-degree felony charge. He faces a possible maximum sentence of eight years and up to a $15,000 fine.

Tedder reportedly broke into the Dental Health Group in Salem on June 2, 2013, going in through the basement door, breaking the glass to gain entry. Prosecutors believe Tedder was looking for drugs. The building was occupied by an employee of the Dental Health Group at the time of the break in.

Sentencing is set for Aug. 14.

Robert P. Chan, 57, Ogden Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on Monday to 10 months in prison for four counts of possession of drugs. Additionally he had his license suspended for one year and was ordered to make $440 in restitution to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force. Chan was found with heroin and morphine on August 15, 2013 and cocaine on two occasions.

Loraine A. Speicher, 39, Mineral Ridge, pleaded guilty to burglary. Speicher and Joshua Bable were both charged with breaking into the state Route 558 home of Jacob Wright. Wright reportedly surprised Speicher and Bable inside his home on Nov. 19, while they were attempting to remove a television from the wall. Bable ran from the home, but drove by several times yelling for Speicher to get into the car. Wright held her there until deputies arrived. Sentencing was set for Aug. 11. She faces up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine. Bable has also pleaded guilty to a burglary charge.

Samantha L. Crawford, 27, Sophia Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of drugs and a tampering with evidence charge. She faces up to 10 years in prison, a fine of $32,000 and a 25-year license suspension. Crawford had heroin, cocaine, buprenorphine and hydrocodone in her possession on March 22, 2013 and attempted to conceal the drugs when she knew police were investigating.
