Wellsville Police Reports for 5-21

At 1:15 a.m. on May 17, an officer patrolling Main Street near Cherry Alley noticed a male running down Main Street with a beer in one hand, yelling and chasing a black Ford Explorer down Cherry Alley to Broadway Avenue, to where the Explorer had parked. Upon arrival, the officer found the man, identified as Michael Stacy, standing by the Explorer without the beer asking what was going on. Stacy said he had forgotten about the beer, and was arrested and charged with having an open container. The driver of the Explorer, Ikiema Abercrombie, was found to have no Ohio driver’s license. He was also taken into custody and charged while the vehicle was impounded.

Marcus A. Macley Jr. of Maple Avenue came to the station May 14 at 12:10 a.m. and stated that between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m., he had parked his 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier in the back lot of American Legion Post 70 on Wells Avenue to go fishing. Upon his return, he found damage to the right-front fender and was not able to open the front passenger door.
