Highway Patrol reports for 5-27
James W. Ramsey, 16, Third Street, East Liverpool, was eastbound on U.S. 30 in Elkrun Township at 2:21 p.m. Monday and turned right onto Stookesberry Road and went left of center and overturned. He was cited for failure to control and taken to East Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries.
Michael D. Joy, 39, West Main Street, Salineville, was westbound on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township at 2:45 p.m. Monday and Marvin J. Williams, 18, Mick Road, Wellsville, was eastbound and failed to yield turning left and was struck by Joy. Williams was cited for failure to yield.
Roger W. Pound, 66, state Route 45, Lisbon, was northbound on Leetonia Road in Salem Township at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday and hit a deer.
James E. Styen, 54, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was eastbound on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 4:15 p.m. Monday and his vehicle caught fire so he pulled off into a private lot. The fire was extinguished by firefighters.
David G. Plympton, 55, Massillon, was eastbound on U.S. 30 in Madison Township at 4:10 p.m. Monday and went off the left side into a median. He was cited for failure to control.
Brendan E. Yoder, 20, Center Road, Homeworth, was westbound on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township at 8:15 p.m. Monday and went off the right side into a ditch and a pole. He was cited for failure to control.
Shirley May Morris, 72, Beloit, and Christopher L. Wyss, 30, Anderson Street, Malvern, were eastbound on Lakeside Road and Morris stopped behind Wyss who backed into her. Wyss was cited for improper backing.
