Highway Patrol reports for 5-26

Vonlie William Cooper, 25, Chester, W.Va., was eastbound on U.S. 30 in Madison Township at 9:20 p.m. Monday and went off the left side, over-corrected to the right, then drove off the left side again and overturned on the road. He and passenger Brandy Nicole Hutchinson, 32, Weirton, W.Va., were taken by Stat MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for serious injuries. Passenger Deandre Dozier, 23, Campbell, Ohio, was not injured. Drugs and/or alcohol use is suspected as a factor for Cooper and a blood test has been sent to a lab. No charges have been filed at this point, according to the report.

Michael E. Oaks, 16, Church Street, East Liverpool, was westbound on Osbourne Road in Madison Township at 12:30 a.m. Saturday and went off the left side into a mailbox and a bush. He was cited for failure to control.

Katelynn Marie Pearson, 21, Ellwood City, Pa., was westbound on state Route 154 in Middleton Township at 7:31 a.m. Sunday and went off the right side into a ditch and embankment and then re-entered the road. She was cited for failure to control and taken to Beaver Medical Center with possible injuries.

A semi southbound on Whinnery Road in Wayne Township at 5 p.m. Wednesday struck power lines near Laughlin Road and fled.
