East Liverpool Police reports for 5-28
While on patrol, an officer reported seeing a vehicle with a cracked windshield leave Fenton Street and turn onto Ninth Street. It was stopped, and the vehicle reportedly smelled of marijuana and the driver, Christopher Farnsworth, 42, Fenton Street, had no driver’s license. He was cited for unsafe vehicle for the cracked windshield and for no license. His passenger, Robert L. Byrd Jr., 33, Harker Avenue, was reportedly moving around inside as though trying to hide something, and officers reported finding two bags of marijuana inside the vehicle where he was sitting. Byrd had an outstanding warrant and was also charged with possession of marijuana.
Thomas Walker, 84, West Fourth Street, was driving on Jefferson Street Saturday when Craige J. Beaver, 23, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, reportedly darted across the street and was bumped by Walker’s vehicle. According to reports, Beaver failed to cross at the crosswalk and refused medical treatment at the scene. No charges were filed.
