East Liverpool Police for 5-19

While on patrol Friday, an officer saw a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning from Fenton Street onto West Ninth Street and stopped it. The driver, Paul A. Geisse, 42, Orchard Grove, was cited for no turn signal. While being searched, Geisse was reportedly found to have marijuana in his shoe and was also charged with possession of marijuana.

While responding to a report of an argument between Christopher W. Bach, 22, Orchard Street, and his sister, officers went into the home while his sister retrieved her belongings and detected a strong odor of marijuana. Asked if there was any marijuana in the residence, Bach reportedly produced a baggy from his pocket. He was charged with possession of marijuana.

An officer on patrol Friday noticed a vehicle matching the description of one suspected in a St. Clair Avenue theft and found the owner, Curtis O. Townsend, 34, Summit Drive, had an outstanding warrant. The vehicle pulled into Gina’s Drive-Through, and the officer said the occupants appeared to be nervous and kept looking in his direction as he watched them. Identifying the driver as Townsend, the officer pulled over the vehicle and took him into custody on the outstanding warrant. His front seat passenger, Davis Arther, no age or address listed, also had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. The vehicle was towed by First Class Towing, and while officers inventoried it for tow, they reported finding a small baggy containing suspected cocaine inside. Townsend was additionally charged with driving under suspension.
